Importance of Probiotics in Vitamin D Absorption

AbstractVitamin D is a secosteroid which has important effects on human health. Italso has effects like a hormone. Most important vitamin D sources are sunlightand foods. Vitamin D deficiency affects many systems and creates predisposition to diseases. Probiotics are live microorganisms taken from outside of the body which beneficially affect the microbiota. A healthy gut microbiota would affectthe absorption of nutrients and vitamins beneficially. Probiotics may have a positive effect on vitamin D absorption.
