Türkiye’de Bir Yeni-Belediyecilik Filizi: Komünist Başkan’ın Zaferi

Bu çalışmada, 31 Mart 2019 Mahalli İdareler Genel Seçimi sonuçları Tunceli özelinde değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma içerisinde, belediye başkanlığını kazanan Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu’nun yerel yönetimlere bakışı ve uygulamak istediği politikalar, antikapitalist hareketlerin son dönemde yerel yönetimlere dönük artan ilgileri ve bu bağlamda geliştirdikleri yeni-belediyecilik yaklaşımı çerçevesinde değerlendirmektedir. Bu değerlendirmeyi yapabilmek için Sayın Maçoğlu ile yapılmış bir yarı-yapılandırılmış mülakat da çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir.

A Seedling of Neo-Municipalism in Turkey: Victory of the Communist Mayor

This paper offers an analysis of the results of the local elections that were held in March 31st 2019 in Turkey. It primarily focuses on the results in the municipality of Tunceli, in which, Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu, the candidate of the Turkish Communist Party has won the seat. Within the paper, Maçoğlu’s outlook to municipalities and the policies he intends to implement are discussed within the context of an increased interest among anticapitalist movements around the world towards local politics and the neo-municipalist approach they propose. A semi-structured interview with Mr. Maçoğlu is utilized in carrying out this discussion.
