Bu makalede Ignácz Kúnos‘un kendi derlediği Türk „Atoğlu” masalı ile Alman „Siegfried” efsanesinin varyantı olan „Demirci Ferdinand” masalı arasındaki benzerlik ele alınmaktadır. Karşılaştırmada önce kökenleri itibariyle biri birlerine tamamen yabancı ve aykırı duran halkların masal dünyasında, çok ilginç ve şaşırtıcı bir benzerlikler olduğu vurgulanmakta, sadece masal kahramanlarının giyim-kuşamlarında ve davranışlarında bazı farkların görülebileceği tespit edilmektedir. Alman masalı “Demirci Ferdinand” metni verilerek bulgulanan masal kurgusundaki benzerlik (yüzeysel olarak tespit edilmekle beraber) Türk ve Alman masal dünyası ile sınırlı ve tek örnek değildir. Makale, masal göçü kuramına ilginç bir katkı sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. A Siegfried Legend in Turkey In this article, I have argued the similarity between the Turkish fairy tale “Atoğlu” compiled by Ignácz Kúnos and the tale “Blacksmith Ferdinand” (“Ferdinand der Schmied”), which is a variant of the German “Siegfried” legend. In this comparison, I have emphasized that there are fascinating and surprising similarities in the fairy tale world. In this fairy tale, the protagonists are essentially unrelated and different from each other nationality-wise. I have found that these fairy tale heroes are only different from each other in terms of their clothes and behaviors. The similarity in the structure of the fairy tale (although it is determined superficially) by giving the text of the German fairy tale “Blacksmith Ferdinand” is not limited to the Turkish and German fairy tale world and is not the only example. The article aims to make a captivating contribution to the theory of fairy tale migration.
