Ninniler de, diğer halk edebiyatı ürünleri gibi, asıl amacın yanında bir takım fikir ve telkin öğelerini de barındırırlar. Doğu Karadeniz bölgesi ninnilerinde bu özellikle göze çarpmakta, adeta beşikteki çocuğa büyüyünce yapması istenenler anlatılmaktadır. Rize bölgesinden derlenen ninnilerde “büyük adam olmak” motifi özellikle dikkat çeker; öte yandan ana-babaya bakmak, iyi vatandaş olmak gibi ortak öğeler burada da her zaman görülür.

Lullabies also contain some secondary ideas and suggestions, as well as their primary goals, as other folklore products. Lullabies of the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey, which tell babies what to do when they grow up, are of special importance in this sense. Rize county lullabies are interesting in stressing the motive of “being an important man”; on the other hand, common elements like caring parents in their old days, and becoming a good citizen are also current.
