KADIN SAĞLIĞI ALANINDA UZMAN HEMŞİRELİK EĞİTİMİ VE UZMAN HEMŞİRELİK ROLLERİ: AMERİKA BİRLEŞİK DEVLETLERİ ÖRNEĞİ

Son 20 yılda kadınların sağlık gereksinimleri konusunda farkındalık artmıştır. Bu durum, kadın sağlığının daha nitelikli olarak hizmet sunumu ve bakım gereksinimlerinin karşılanmasında kadın sağlığı alanında uzmanlaşmış hemşirelere gereksinimi ortaya getirmiştir. Bu bağlamda Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde (ABD) bir çok üniversitede kadın sağlığı hemşireliğinde uzmanlaşma için lisans üstü programlar açılmıştır. Bu derleme; kadın sağlığı hemşireliği uzmanlık eğitiminde bir öncü olan ABD’deki kadın sağlığı hemşireliğinde uzmanlaşma sürecini ve bu alanda uzmanlaşan kadın sağlığı hemşirelerinin rollerini literatür doğrultusunda incelenmek amacıyla yazılmıştır.

Practioner Nursing Education in the Department of Women’s Health Nursing: Example of the United States of America

The awareness of the health needs of women has increased in the last 20 years. This situation has revealed the need to nurses specializing in women's health; more qualified assessment of women's health and to meet of care needs. In this context, many universities in United State of America (USA) were opened graduate programs to specialize in women's health nursing. This review was conducted to investigate specialization of women’s health nursing in United State of America (USA) that is a pioneer in specialist training of women's health nursing, and the roles of women’s health nurses that are specialised in this field
