An overview of Agri-Food Supply Chains in the COVID-19 Pandemic Period

Due to the global pandemic, which has recently spread all over the world, supply chain resilience and flexibility of industries became more important than ever. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, both the increase in consumption and the occasional halt in production have led to a focus on agricultural food supply chains. With this pandemic, new challenges, threats and different opportunities have emerged for agri-food supply chains. In this study, the effects of COVID-19 on agri-food sector which has an important place in Turkey's economy has been discussed and the results have been compared with the world leader United States. The basis of the study will be to compare the agri-food supply chains of both countries on the basis of real data. A roadmap will be presented to identify the impacts in both countries and to see how they are dealing with a pandemic.
