Okul dışı ortamlarda mobil araçlar yardımı ile fen bilimleri dersi kelebeklerin yaşam döngüsü konusunun öğrenilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada, çoklu durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu, amaçlı örneklem yoluyla Konya ili merkezindeki bir okulun 25 öğrencisidir. Çalışma tablet ile yürütülmüştür. Tabletlere kelebekler adlı android uygulaması ve animasyonu yüklenmiştir. Tabletleri ile Konya Kelebekler Vadisinde gezen öğrencilerden gezi öncesinde ve sonrasında kelebeklerin yaşam döngüsü ile çizim yapmaları, çizimlerini açıklamaları için çizimlerinin arka kısmına yazmaları istenmiştir. Gezi sonrası 8 öğrenci ile kelebeklerin yaşam döngüsü, okul dışı öğrenme, mobil öğrenme ile ilgili sorular yöneltilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğrencilerin okul dışı ortamlarda bulunmaktan keyif aldıkları, mobil öğrenmenin öğrencilerin zaman ve mekan sınırlamasını ortadan kaldırdığı, bir rehbere ihtiyaç duymadığı görülmektedir. Öğrenciler kelebeklerin yaşam döngüsünün yumurta ile başladığını, tırtıl ve pupa ile devam ettiğini, ardından güzel bir uçan kelebek ile sonlandığını, ömürlerinin kısa olmadığını, yeni kavramları rahat kazanıldığını ifade etmektedirler. Konu ile ilgili olarak ve yapılacak araştırmalara ilişkin öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

It is aimed to learn the life cycle of butterflies in science lesson with the help of mobile devices in out of school environments. In the research, multiple case study was used. The working group is 25 students of a school in the city center of Konya through purposeful sampling. The study was carried out with a tablet. The android application and animation named butterflies were installed on the tablets. Students traveling in the Konya Butterfly Valley with their tablets were asked to write with the life cycle of the butterflies before and after the trip and write them on the back of their drawings to explain their drawings. After the trip, 8 students were asked about the life cycle of butterflies, out-of-school learning, and mobile learning. According to the findings of the research, it is seen that the students enjoy being in out-of-school environments, mobile learning eliminates the time and space limitation of the students and does not need a guide. The students state that the life cycle of butterflies begins with eggs, continues with caterpillars and pupa, then ends with a beautiful flying butterfly, their life is not short, and new concepts are gained easily. Suggestions about the subject and the researches to be carried out have been developed.
