Emzirmenin Anne Sağlığına Yararları

Emzirme infant ve annede birçok hastalık riskini azaltır. Literatürde emzirmenin anne sağlığına yararlarını içeren çok sayıda makale bulunmamaktadır. Ancak hastalıkların insidansında azalma ile emzirme arasında positif ilişki vardır. Meme kanseri,  over kanseri ve osteoporozun sebep olduğu kemik kırıkları gibi. Ayrıca emzirmenin romatoid artrit ve type-2 diabetes riskini azalttığını dair sonuçlar vardır. Çalışmalar emzirme ile postnatal amenore ve gebelikler arası sürenin uzaması arasında ilişkiyi belirlemiştir. Emziren kadın gebelikte aldığı kiloları daha çabuk verir ve postnatal uterus kanamasında azalma anemiyi önler. Sonuç: İnfant sağlığında anne sütü ve emzirme avantajları konusunda bilgiler karşılaştırılırsa emzirmenin anneye yararlarına ait bilgi az olduğundan bu konu gelecekte daha fazla araştırılmalıdır
