SUMMARY The role of the ratio of the systolic peak pressor to the end of the systolic diameter on the determination of the left ventricular fonction in the hyper¬tensive parents. Left ventricular systolic functions (EF, Vcf and LVESD ratio) inves¬tigated non-invansively in 27 hypertensive and 10 normal adults EF and Vcf were found normal in a group of patients and as decreased in others. LVSPP/LVESD ratio was increased in all hypertensive patients (% 96.29).
