SPINAL ANESTHESIA AND INTERSCALENE / SUPERFICIAL CERVICAL BLOCK iN MULTIPLE MYELOMA PATHOLOGICAL FRACTURE

Objective: The use of novel chemothe  rapeutic agents in the  treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) has improved life expe ctancy  and quality of life in thesepatients in t he last decade. Therefore, more MM pati ents are treated for repeati ng path ologica l fractures.Case Report: in our case spinal, interscalene and superficial cervical blocks were performed in a 61-ye ar-old MM patient who will be operated due to tibial and humoral pathologic fractures and was at risk for general anesth esia due to cardiac and pulmonary problems. Conclusion: in this report, we demonstrated that the use of regional anesthesia is a good option in order to minimizeanest hesi a related risk level in the presence of MM.
