Makale, Kazakistan'ın Alma Atı şehrinde 23-27 Nisan 2008 tarihinde düzenlenen II. Türk Dünyası Sosyologları Kurultayı ile ilgilidir. İlk Kurultay Türkiye'de Kocaeli şehrinde düzenlenmişti. Toplantılara Türk Cumhuriyetlerin-den ve Özerk Türk Bölgelerinden sosyologlar katılmıştır. I. Kurultayın ana konusu “Küreselleşme ve Türk Dünyası”; II. Kurultayın konusu ise, “Sosyal Gelişme ve Sivil Toplum” üzerine idi. Her iki Kurultayda da Türk Dünyasının çeşitli sorunları üzerinde durulmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kurultay, Türk Dünyası, Sosyoloji, Sosyal Gelişme, Küreselleşme, Sivil Toplum. ABSTRACT The article gives information on the Second Congress of the Sociologist of the Turkic World held in Alma Atı, Kazakhstan dated 23-27 April, 2008.The first Congress was held in Turkey, in Kocaeli, by participating the sociologist of different Turkic countries and Turkic regions. Various problems and aspects of globalization debated and discussed in that submit.In the second Congress besides the Turkic World sociologists, vice-president of the International Sociological Association also participated the submit.
