Fakoemülsifikasyon yöntemi ile komplikasyonsuz katarakt cerrahisi sonrası erken dönem klinik sonuçlar

Amaç: Komplikasyonsuz fakoemülsifikasyon yöntemi ile katarakt ameliyatı olan hastalarınerken dönem sonuçlarını sunmak Gereç ve Yöntem: Ocak 2007- Aralık 2009 dönemi arasında Ankara Numune Eğitim AraştırmaHastanesi Göz hastalıkları kliniğinde fakoemülsifikasyon yöntemi ile ameliyat edilen ardışık 255 hastanın 401 gözü retrospektif olarak çalışma kapsamına alındı. Preoperatif ve postoperatif 1. gün, 1. hafta, 1. ay görme keskinlikleri ve göz içi basınç değerleri incelendi. Ayrıca olguların yaş, cinsiyet, göz lateralitesi, katarakt tipi yanında sistemik hastalıklar da incelemeye dahil edildi. Bulgular: Yüz kırk dört (%56,4)’ü erkek, 111 (%43,6)’i kadın hastalardan oluşan tüm çalışma grubunun ortalama yaşı 68 idi. Hastaların 109 (%42,7)’u tek gözden, 146 (%57,3)’sı çift gözden operasyon geçirdiği saptandı. Postoperatif 1. ayda hastaların %70’inde (-0,50 ile +0,50 arası) dioptri arası sferik refraksiyon ve %34,3’ünde (-0,50 ile +0,50 arası) dioptri arası slindirik refraksiyon saptandı. Göz içi basıncıları preoperatif 14,1±3,0 (7-21)mmHg iken bu değer cerrahiden sonra 1.günde 15,2±4,9 (5-41) mmHg, 1.haftada 13,3±2,8 (6-23) mmHg ve 1. ayda 12,68±1,9 (6-21) mmHg idi (p

Early time clinical outcomes after uncomplicated cataract surgery with Phacoemulsification

Purpose: To report the early time patient results of uncomplicated cataract surgery with phacoemulsification. Material and Methods: Data regarding to 401 eyes of 255 patients whom consecutively underwent to phacoemulsification surgery from January 2007 to December 2009 were evulated retrospectively. Visual acuity and intraocular pressure were examined preoperative and postoperative 1st day, 1st week and 1st month. Age, gender, eye laterality, cataract types, and systemic diseases were also included. Results: The mean age of the study group [144 (56.4%) male, and 111 (43.6%) female patients] was 68 years. Of them; 109 (42.7%) patient operated from one eye and 146 (57.3%) from both eyes. At postoperative first month, 70% of the patients had spherical refraction between (from -0.50 to +0.50) diopter and 34.3% had cylindrical refraction between (from -0.50 to +0.50) diopter.
