Kemoembolizasyon ilişkili mukozal melanosis

Cilt ve mukozal lezyonlar onkoloji pratiğinin önemli birer parçalarıdır. Gerek altta yatan hastalık gerekse kullanılan ilaçlarla ilişkili lezyonlar sıklıkla görülmektedir. Hepatoselüler kanser tanısı ile izlenmekte olan hasta, lokal hastalığa yönelik uygulanan kemoembolizasyon sonrasında oral mukozada hiperpigmente lezyonlar ile başvurdu. Mukozal biyopsi melanozis olarak değerlendirildi ve yeni gelişimli lezyonlar uygulanmış olan kemoterapötikler ile ilişkilendirildi. Lezyonlar sayı ve boyut olarak gerilese de izlemde sebat etti. Burada nadir bir vaka olan kemoembolizasyon ilişkili mukozal melanozis tecrübesi sunulmuştur.

Mucosal melanosis associated with chemoembolization

Mucosal lesions due to underlying disease or drug toxicity, are important part of oncology practice. Patient with a diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma was treated with chemoembolisation. She presented with new onset of mucosal hyperpigmented lesion all through her oral cavity. Biopsy was consistent with mucosal melanosis, which was associated with the chemotherapeutics used in the chemoembolisation procedure. Lesion progressively improved without any treatment. Here we present an mucosal melanosis experience after chemoembolisation. J Clin Exp Invest 2015; 6 (2): 189-191.
