Kent Kıyı Kesişiminde Mekan; Beşiktaş Örneği
Bu çalışma ile İstanbul’un Beşiktaş Meydanı özelinde, kıyı kullanımı ve meydan ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Meydanı ile Beşiktaş Vapur İskelesi ve çevresinin mevcut durumunun analizi yapılmış, iyileştirme ve öneriler ile kıyı tasarımına katkı sağlamak hedeflenmiştir. Alanın tasarımının tarihi süreçte nasıl ele alındığı, hangi kararların kıyı ve meydanı etkilediği, bu etkilerin sebepleri ve sonuçları üzerine bir literatür araştırması yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu yapılan gözlem ve incelemeler ile kıyıda tasarım potansiyelinin çok yüksek olduğu ancak su ile ilişkinin kullanıcı ve meydan bağlamında yeterince kurulamadığı tespit edilmiştir.

Space at the Urban Coastal Intersection; Istanbul Besiktas Example
In the content of this study, the intercourse between the use of the coastal areas and the public square has been examined in the Beşiktaş of Istanbul. The current situation of Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Square and Beşiktaş Ferry Terminal was studied and its surrounding areas were analyzed. Within this study; to contribute to the coastal design with improvements and suggestions are aimed. Literature research was conducted on how the design of the area was handled in the historical process? Which decisions affected the shore and the square? What are the causes and consequences of these effects? As a result of the observations and examinations, it has been determined that the design potential on the coastal areas are quiet high, but the intercourse with water cannot be established sufficiently in the context of the user and the public square.
