EXTRALOBAR PULMONARY SEQUESTRATION IN POSTERIOR MEDIASTINUM (CASE REPORT)
In this paper, an extralobar pulmonary sequestration, completely separeted from normal lung tissue and located in the posterior mediastinum in a 58-year-old asymptomatic patient was reported. At the operation, the mass was found to be attached with a stalk to the paravertebral region at the level of the seventh thoracic vertebra by a feeding artery originating from the descending aorta and was changing it's position in the hemithorax. Sequestrectomy was performed and related literatüre was reviewed.
