RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF INTRAOPERATIVE AND POSTOPERATIVE RESULTS OF 412 TOTAL LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMIES PERFORMED IN OUR CLINIC
Introduction: In this study, we aimed to retrospectively analyze the intraoperative and postoperative results of total laparoscopic hysterectomies performed between January 2016 and January 2018 in İzmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic Material and Method: The results of 412 patients who underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy for benign gynecological indications between January 2016 and January 2018 were screened using the hospital information management system. The intraoperative and postoperative results of the patients were analyzed. Results: The most frequent indication for hysterectomy was myoma uterus with 46.8% in 412 patients included in the study. 33.9% of these patients had a previous history of surgery. Mean operative times were 108 34,2 (35- 145) min. Total major complication rate was calculated as 6.55%, convertion to laparotomy rate was 0.97%. Conclusion: In appropriate patients, total laparoscopic hysterectomy may be a surgical option that increases the postoperative comfort and reduces complication rates as surgical team experience increases.
