Bir köpekte Ehrlichiosis olgusu
Bu yazıda intermittens karekterli ateş, halsizlik, depresyon, kıllarda matlık, skrotumda kızarıklık ve kanlı burun akıntısı şikayetleriyle kliniğe getirilen 3.5 yaşında erkek Bull Terrier ırkı bir köpekte Ehrlichiosis olgusu incelendi. Klinik muayenede hepatomegali, splenomegali, lenfadenopati ve mukozalarda solgunluk saptandı. Trombositopeni (40 mm3/! O3) ve anemiyi içeren hematolojik anormalliklere ilave olarak, idrar kültüründe ß hemolitik streptokok kolonilerinin (lO5) ürediği, biyokimyasal kan muayenesinde serum total protein (9.4 g/dl), globulin (6.3 g/dl), üre (181 mg/dl), kreatinin (4.7 mg/dl) düzeylerinin arttığı ve albumin (3.1 g/dl) düzeyinin düştüğü saptandı, indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) testi kullanılarak yapılan serolojik muayene de 1/40 oranında Ehrlichia canis antikor titrasyonu saptandı. Klinik, hematolojik, biyokimyasal, mikrobiyololjk laboratuar bulguları göz önüne alındığında, olguya kronik Ehrlichiosis tanısı konuldu. Doxycyclin (20 mg/kg) ve Sulfanamid-trimethoprim (30 mg/kg) kombinasyonu üç hafta süreyle günde iki defa oral yolla tedavi için kullanıldı. Ülkemizde Ehrlichiosis'in ilk kez saptandığı köpek bu ilaçlarla tamamen iyileştirildi.
Case of Ehrlichiosis in a dog
In this paper, it was described 3,5 years old, male, Bull Terrier breed a dog which was came to our clinic with anamnesis such as intermittent fever, weakness, depression, become dull in hairs, hype-remia in scrotum and nasal discharges with blood. It was determined hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, lymphade-nopathy and paleness of mucous membranes in clinical examination. In addition to hematological abnormali-ties including trombocytopenia (40 mm-VlO3) and anemia, it was determined that ß hemolytic streptococci colonies (105) reproduced in urine culture, serum total protein (9.4 g/dl), globulin (6.3 g/dl), urea (181 mg/dl), kreatinin (4.7mg/dl) levels increased and albumin (3.1 g/dl) level decreased in blood examination. Ehrlichia canis antibody titration 1/40 in ratio was found by used indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) test. When clini-cal and laboratory sings such as hematological, biochemical and microbiological were considered, the case was diagnosed of chronic Ehrlichiosis. Doxycilyn (20 mg/kg) and sulfonamide-trimethoprim (30 mg/kg) were used twice a day during three weeks as oral for treatment. The dog that Ehrlichiosis was firstly determined in our country was entirely treated with drugs.
