Lepidoptera takımına bağlı olan Sphingidae familyası, erginlerinin çok hızlı uçması ve morfolojik özellikleri sebebiyle "Atmaca Kelebekler" adıyla bilinirler. Marmara Bölgesi'nde yaşayan Sphingidae türleri ilk defa bu çalışmanın konusu olmuştur. Tespit edilen 11 adet türün morfolojileri, bölgedeki varlıkları, biyolojileri ve konukçuları aydınlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Some Sphingidae species in Marmara Region

The Sphingidae family belongs to the Lepidoptera order. Their adults known as "Hawk moths", because of their swiftly flying and morphological shapes. The Sphingidae species which live in Marmara region are firstly being to the subject of this study .The morphologies, dristributions, biologies and host plants of 11 species were given in this article.
