NARSİSTİK KİŞİLİK ÖZELLİĞİNİN ÖRGÜTSEL VATANDAŞLIK DAVRANIŞI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNDE ÖRGÜT İKLİMİNİN DÜZENLEYİCİ ROLÜ

Bu çalışmada, narsistik kişilik özelliğinin örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları üzerindeki etkisinde örgüt ikliminin düzenleyici rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Narsistik kişilik, toplumda sıklıkla görülen, örgütsel ortamda bireylerin olumlu veya olumsuz tutum ve davranışlar sergilemelerine yol açan bir özellik olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada narsistik kişilik özelliği ile olumlu örgütsel davranışlar kapsamında nitelendirilen örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları ve örgüt iklimi ele alınmıştır. Araştırma amacı doğrultusunda Isparta ve Burdur illerinde faaliyet göstermekte olan iki özel hastanenin 122 çalışanından anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri, korelasyon analizi ve hiyerarşik regresyon analizi aracılığıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre, narsistik kişilik özelliğinin işgörenlerin örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı sergilemelerini olumlu yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, narsistik kişilik özelliğinin örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları üzerindeki etkisinde örgüt ikliminin düzenleyici bir role sahip olduğu görülmüştür.

This study investigates the moderating role of organizational climate in the effect of narcissistic personality characteristic on organizational citizenship behaviors. Narcissistic personality characteristic commonly seen in society which leads to individuals’ exhibit positive and negative attitudes and behaviors in organizations. Accordingly, scope of the study, narcissistic personality, organizational climate and organizational citizenship behaviors which are labelled as a positive organizational behavior have been considered. For the purpose of the study, data has been collected via survey method from 122 employees who are working in two hospitals located in Isparta and Burdur cities. In this respect, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation and hierarchical regression analysis, applied to the data obtained from employees. Based on the findings, it is observed that narcissistic personality has a positive and significant effect on employees’ organizational citizenship behavior. However, it has been found that there is a moderating role of organizational climate in the effect of narcissistic personality on organizational citizenship behavior.
