Voltage Tracking of a Single-phase Inverter in an Islanded Microgrid

Voltage Tracking of a Single-phase Inverter in an Islanded Microgrid

Voltage source inverters (VSI's) are generally used to interface with the distributedgenerators (DG) in microgrid. The voltage quality of the network is controlled on the basis ofreference voltage tracking strategy of the VSI. In this paper, mathematical formula is derived forvoltage tracking strategy, and its validity and robustness are demonstrated for both steady-stateand transient conditions. Furthermore, the eectiveness of various controller has been analysedon the system response, and the eects of control gain parameters on the system characteristicsare studied using root locus analysis. The performance of the system is found to be eective totrack the reference grid voltage (Vg*)
