Harmonics Minimization of Multilevel Inverter Connecting Source Renewable Energy to Power System

This paper presents the possibility of improving the quality of the output voltage delivered by a multi-level inverter for interconnection between a renewable energy generator and the electricity grid. For this purpose, we use the Newton Raphson algorithm for solving nonlinear equations to determine the optimal switching angles. In our study, we consider multilevel inverters with output voltages of odd levels. Finally, we evaluate the rate of distorting harmonics (THD) of obtained voltages, according to various indices of adjustment.
