A DECISION MAKING MODEL FOR SELECTION OF WIND ENERGY PRODUCTION FARMS BASED ON FUZZY ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS

A DECISION MAKING MODEL FOR SELECTION OF WIND ENERGY PRODUCTION FARMS BASED ON FUZZY ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS

The purpose of this paper is to present an evaluation model for the prioritization of wind energy production sites, namely, Mersin, Silifke and Anamur, located in Mediterranean Sea region of Turkey. For this purpose, a fuzzy analytical hierarchy decision making approach based on multi-criteria decision making framework including economic, technical, and environmental criteria was performed. It is found that the results obtained from fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) approach, Anamur district is the best area among the alternatives for establishing wind turbines.
