Innovations in monitoring of recurrent laryngeal nerve in thyroidectomy surgeries

Tiroidektomi ameliyatlarında en sık görülen komplikasyonlardan biri recurrent laryngeal sinir hasarıdır. İntraoperatif nöral monitorizasyon uygulamasının bu komplikasyonların azaltılmasında önemli katkısı vardır. Çalışmamızda son yıllarda bu yöntemle ilgili ortaya çıkarılan yenilikleri kısaca gözden geçirdik. Yaptığımız çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, tiroidektomi ve recurrent laryngeal sinire yakın bölgelerde yapılan bazı ameliyatlarda intraoperatif nöral monitorizasyon uygulamalarında ve anestezide ortaya çıkarılan yenilikler, bu uygulamanın daha etkili ve ucuz maliyetle yapılmasına yol açmıştır.
