An Empirical Review for OECD Countries on the Relationship between Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth

Today, entrepreneurship and innovation are adopted as a driving force for economic growth.. The aim of this study is to empirically analyze the effects of entrepreneurship activities and innovation on economic growth for 35 OECD countries. In the study, using the data of 2001-2018 periods, the relationship between the variables was examined using panel data analysis methods. As a result of the findings, there is a peer-to-peer relationship from patent to growth and from entrepreneurship to growth. However, it has been concluded that there is a causal relationship in OECD countries, both from patent to growth and from growth to entrepreneurial activities. According to the results of the canning Pedroni causality test, the results were reached in OECD countries that the right causality exists from patent to growth and from growth to entrepreneurial activities.
