Çocuklarla Felsefe Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Son yılların en ilgi çekici felsefe tartışmalarından biri, çocuklarla felsefe yapmanın mümkün olup olmadığı sorusuyla ilgilidir. Çocukların kaç yaşlarından itibaren, hangi yöntemle felsefe ile tanışmaları gerektiği ve bu eğitimin onlara ne katacağı yönünde hem felsefe çevrelerinden hem de eğitimcilerden birçok görüş ileri sürülmüştür. Felsefe eğitiminin düşünmenin gelişimine büyük katkı sunacağı tartışmasızdır. Ancak bu önemli konunun çerçevesinin nasıl çizileceği, yöntemin nasıl belirleneceği ve bu süreci kimin yöneteceği Türkiye’de belirsiz ve keyfi bir yol izlemektedir. Bu konunun aydınlatılmasında ise felsefecilere büyük bir görev düşmektedir. Bu çalışmada, hem Türkiye’de çocuklar için felsefe konusundaki çalışmalardan, hem de bu konunun teorik zemininden söz edilmesi hedeflendiği gibi, pratik olarak da çocuklarla yapılacak felsefe çalışmaları için kaynak seçiminin önemine değinilecektir. Çocuklarla felsefe çalışmalarına örnek teşkil edecek bir çalışma tanıtılacak ve böyle bir çalışmaya dair örnek sorular ortaya konmaya çalışılacaktır. Böylelikle bu çalışma giderek önem kazanan bir çalışma alanı olarak çocuklar için felsefe çalışmalarına dair hem teorik bir zemin, hem de pratik bir işleyiş örneği sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.

An Analysis on Philosophy with Children

One of the most intriguing discussions on philosophy in recent years is about the possibility to do philosophy with children. Various claims have been asserted by the philosophers and educators regarding at what age and by which method children should be introduced with philosophy and how this education would contribute to children. It is an undisputable fact that philosophy education will contribute greatly to the development of the thinking skill. On the other hand; there is an uncertain and arbitrary approach in determining the frame of this important topic, the method and the person to manage this process. The philosophers have a significant role in the clarification of this issue. In this research, it is aimed to discuss the studies on philosophy for children in Turkey and the theoretical ground of this topic and to refer to the significance of the selection of resource for the philosophy practices to be carried out with children. An example study on philosophy with children will be presented, and example questions on the study will be provided. In this respect, this research aims to provide both a theoretical background and a practical example of philosophy with children, which has become an increasingly important field of study.
