Gerek hukukî gerekse edep ve ahlakla ilgili metinlerde Muâz. b. Cebel’in Yemen’e gönderilişine sıkça atıfta bulunulmaktadır. Hadis kitaplarında da aynı konuyla ilgili farklı rivâyetler yer almaktadır. Muâz b. Cebel’in Yemen’e gönderilişini anlatan rivâyetler, birbirinden farklı zengin bir içeriğe sahiptir. Bunların bazılarında zekâtla ilgili hükümler yer alırken, bazılarında ise çeşitli öğütler bulunmaktadır. Konuyla ilgili rivâyetler, içeriklerine göre sekiz grupta incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Muâz b. Cebel’in Yemen’e gönderilmesiyle ilişkilendirilen rivâyetlerin tahrici, metin tasnifi ve tahlili yapılmıştır.

In both legal and decency and morality texts, sending Muaz b. Jabal to Yemen is often cited. Also in hadith books, there are different narrations about the same subject. Narrations thet telling the sending of Muaz b. Jabal to Yemen have a content which is rich and different from each other. While deliverances about zakat take part in some of them, the others contain various advices. Narrations about the subject are investigated in eight groups according to their contents. In this article, I searched the narrations contained that Muaz b. Jabal was sent to Yemen by the Prophet, classified and analyzed them.
