Bulgular: Grup I deki 34 olgunun 20’si (% 58.8) erkek 14’ü (%41.2) kadın ve ortalama yaşları 43,8 ±10,8 idi. Grup II deki 50 olgudan verileri değerlendirilen 44 hastanın 21’i (47,7%), erkek, 23’ü (52,3%) kadın ve ortalama yaşları42,3±11 idi.

EVALUATION OF VOICE THERAPY EFFECTIVENESS AFTER SURGICAL TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH VOCAL FOLD POLYP

Introduction: Vocal cord polyps (VCPs) are benign vocal fold lesions that require the most surgical intervention. Although the main treatment is surgery; In recent years, the addition of Voice Therapy (VT) before and / or after surgery has become increasingly widespread. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of VT combined with surgery in the treatment of VCP. For this purpose, the voice analysis data of the patients who received only surgical treatment and surgery with VT before/after the surgery were compared. Material and Method: Patients treated with VCP were included. The patients were divided into two groups. Patients who did not want to receive VT in Group I received only surgical treatment. In Group II, there were patients who had VT with eight sessions. The subjective and objective voice assessment parameters of both groups were compared before and six months after treatment. Results: Of the 34 patients in Group I, 20 (58.8%) were male and 14 (41.2%) were female and the mean age was 43.8 ± 10.8. Of the 44 patients in Group II, 21 (47.7%) were male, 23 (52.3%) were female and the mean age was 42.3 ± 11 years. In Group II, the decrease in postoperative GRB value was significantly higher than group I (p
