Özet Ninniler geçmişten günümüze önemli bilgiler aktaran halk edebiyatı kaynaklarından sadece bir tanesidir. Söz konusu kaynaklarda anneler doğaçlama yoluyla uzaydan, uykuda insanın büyüdüğünden, balın nasıl elde edildiğinden, yoğurdun faydasından, gülün sakinleştirici özelliğinden, çama€â„¢ın faydasından bahsetmektedirler. Ninnilerde dile getirilen konular araştırıldığında, aktarılan bilgilerin doğru olduğu görülmektedir. Söz konusu bilgilerin hem doğru hem de zamanında okuryazar olmayan anneler tarafından doğaçlama yoluyla söylenmiş olması ninnilere olan dikkati artırmıştır. Ninnilerin içeriğinde yer alan bilgilerin bugünün bilimiyle çelişmemesi bilindik bir konu değildir. Ancak söz konusu özelliğine rağmen ninniler yok olmaya yüz tutmaktadır. Oysa ninniler çocukları eğittiği gibi geçmişten de bilgiler aktarmaktadır. Bu nedenle ninniler daha fazla önemsenmeli, yaygınlaştırılmalı ve derlenmesi konusunda daha fazla çaba harcanmalıdır.

Lullabies are only one of the folk literature sources that deliver important information up to date. In the due sources mothers are mentioning about space, growing of the human beings in sleep, how honey is made, the nutritious facts of yoghurt, the soothing aspect of roses, the usefulness of the pine tree by the means of improvisation. When the subjects conveyed in lullabies are taken into research it can be seen that what is being conveyed is in fact true. That the due information is first of all conveying the truth and its also being told by illiterate mothers by the means of improvisation has heightened the attention directed on lullabies. The fact that the information given within the lullabies doesna€â„¢t have any controversy with the science of today, isna€â„¢t a subject known. Nevertheless lullabies tend to disappear though their due features. In fact lullabies are educating children as well as conveying us information about the past. For this reason more importance should be given to lullabies, they should be made more common and more effort should be given in its compiling.
