Bu çaly?mada, ba?ta çaly?anlaryn demografik özellikleri olmak üzere, mesle?e giri? nedenleri, rütbeleri, kydemleri ve çaly?tyklary birimler ile örgütsel ba?lylyk ve i? tatmin dizeyi arasyndaki ili?ki ara?tyrylmy?tyr. Ara?tyrmada, veriler anket yöntemi kullanylarak elde edilmi?tir. Bu veriler SPSS 16.0 programy kullanylarak analiz edilmi?, yapylan ara?tyrmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre; personelin çaly?ty?y birim ve mesle?e giri? nedeni, örgütsel ba?lylyk ve i? tatmin düzeyleri üzerinde, gruplar arasynda anlamly fark bulunmu?tur. Ancak cinsiyet, medeni durum ve rütbenin ise gruplar arasynda anlamly fark olu?turmady?y anla?ylmy?tyr.

EFFECTS OF DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AND JOB SATISFACTION:ADIYAMAN POLICE DEPARTMENT SAMPLE

The high level of employee job satisfaction, and employee commitment is very important in service manufacturing. Recently, public institutions, not as much as businesses, has wanted to improve the quality of service offered to the public. Quality of service, as well as many variables, also depends on the level of employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. In this study, it was particularly investigated the employees' demographic characteristics (such as age, gender, marital status, education level), the reasons for job application, rank, length of service, the relationship between their work unit and job satisfaction/organizational commitment level. Moreover, in the study, data were obtained using a questionnaire method. These data analyzed using the SPSS 16.0 program and according to the findings of the survey there was a significant difference among the groups on employees' working department, the reasons for job application and job satisfaction and organizational commitment levels. Gender, marital status and rank, however, revealed no significant difference among them.
