İLKÖĞRETİM ÖĞRENCİLERİNDE UYKU ALIŞKANLIKLARININ DUYGU-DAVRANIŞ SORUNLARINA ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Amaç: İlköğretim öğrencilerinin uyku alışkanlıklarının duygu-davranış sorunlarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla kesitsel, tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır.Yöntem: İzmir ilinde Balçova bölgesinde bulunan dört ilköğretimokulundan birindeki öğrencilerin 7-14 yaş grubu ebeveynlerinin tümü N=790 araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında ebeveynlerin çocukların uyku alışkanlıklarını değerlendirdiği anket formu 17 soru ile olumlu ve olumsuz duygu ve davranış özelliklerini sorgulayan Güçler ve Güçlükler Anketi GGA kullanılmıştır 25 soru . Ebeveyn yanıt oranı % 74 olan anketler n=584 bilgisayarda SPSS 11,5 programı kullanılarak tanımlayıcı istatistikler ile tekyönlü varyans analizi ANOVA kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin uyku süresi ortalaması hafta içi 9,72±1,24,hafta sonu 10,30±1,32 saattir. GGA ölçeği sonuçlarına 11,27±5,69 göre uyku alışkanlıkları sorunları puan ortalamaları 7,60±2,26 tekyönlü varyans analizi ile karşılaştırılmış ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur F=17,796, p

Investigation of the Impact of Sleep Habits on Emotional-Behavioral Problems of Elementary School Children

Objective: This cross sectional, descriptive studywas conducted to examine the impact of sleep habits on emotional-behavioral problems of elementary school children. Method: The study population consisted of allparents of the students in one of four elementaryschools N=790; age group, 7-14 years in İzmir,Balçova district. A questionnaire form 17 questions in which the parents assessed the sleep habits of the children and Strengths and DifficultiesQuestionnaire SDQ 25 questions that questioned positive and negative emotional and behavioral features were used for data collection. Parent response rate was 74% n=584 , and thecompleted forms were transferred into computerdocuments and evaluated by means of frequencyanalysis and one-way analysis of variance ANOVA in SPSS Version 11.5.Results: Average sleep duration was 9.72±1.24during the week day, and 10.30±1.32 during theweekend.
