Hemoroit rahatsız edici semptomları olan, görülme sıklığı yüksek bir hastalıktır. Eski çağlardan beri bitkiler halk arasında hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılmaktadır. Bu derlemede hemoroit şekayetlerinde halk ilacı olarak kullanılan bitkilerin Latince ve yöresel adları, familyaları, kullanılan kısımları, kullanılış şekilleri, kullanıldıkları yöreler verilmiştir. Ülkemizde hemoroit tedavisinde kullanılan 46 familyaya ait 84 cinsin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bitkilerin bazılarının hemoroit tedavisinde kullanılan ilaçlarla benzer aktivitelere sahip olması dikkat çekicidir.

Hemorrhoid is a disease with inconvenient symptoms and has a high incidence. Plants are used in folk medicine for the treatment of diseases for centuries. In this review, family and species name, local name, locality, parts used and usage of plants used as folk medicine are given. 84 plant genus belong to 46 families are used for the treatment of hemorrhoids in Turkey. It is noteworthy that some of these plants have the similar activities with the drugs used for the hemorrhoid treatment.
