GEMİ İNŞAATIN DA EĞİTİM UYGULAMALARI: YANGIN SÖNDÜRME GEMİSİ KAVRAMSAL TASARIMI ÖĞRENCİ ÇALIŞMASI
Mühendislik programlarında verilen teorik bilgilerin pekişmesi çok önemlidir. Verilen teorik bilgilerin iş hayatında farklı çalışmalarda nasıl kullanılacağı öğrenilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu amaçla, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Gemi İnşaatı ve Gemi Makineleri Bölümü öğrencilerini meslek hayatına hazırlamak için, proje derslerini sektörden tasarımcıların desteği ile yürütülen değişik gemi tiplerinde inovatif projelerin yapılması olarak uygulamaktadır. Farklı tipteki bu gemiler tasarımcıların güncel olarak yaptıkları, dönemin ihtiyaçlarına göre seçilmiş olup belirli bir amaca hizmet etmektedir. İstanbul’un nüfusunun giderek artması ve deniz ticaretinin ilerlemesi dikkatsizliklerin artmasına neden olmaktadır. İstanbul ve çevresinde çıkabilecek yangınlara müdahale etmek için yeterli sayıda yangın söndürme gemisi bulunmamaktadır. Bu nedenle daha donanımlı ve yenilikçi yangın söndürme gemilerine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Özellikle deniz trafiğinin yoğun olduğu İstanbul ve Çanakkale boğazları girişlerinde bu tip gemilere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, eğitim hayatımızda çok fazla incelemediğimiz, öğrenci projesi olarak da az sayıda yapılan yangın söndürme gemisinin konsept tasarımı ve sistemleri hakkında, bir öğrenci projesi bakış açısı ile bilgiler verilmektedir. Mühendislik eğitimine katkısı olmassı açısından böyle çalışmaların aktarılması faydalı olacaktır
The theoretical knowledge given in engineering programs is very important. It is necessary to learn how to use the given theoretical knowledge in different studies in business life. For this purpose, in order to prepare the students of Istanbul Technical University, Department of Naval Architecture and Ship Machinery for their professional life, the project courses are carried out with the help of designers from the sector as innovative projects in different ship types. These ships of different types are designed according to the needs of the period, which the designers do today and serve a specific purpose. The increasing population of Istanbul and the progress of maritime trade lead to an increase in carelessness. There are not enough fire fighting ships to intervene in Istanbul and its surrounding fires. There is therefore a need for more equipped and innovative fire fighting vessels. This type of ship is needed especially at the entrances of Istanbul and Çanakkale Straits where marine traffic is intense. In this study given information about concept design and systems of fire extinguisher ship which is not studied much in our education life. In order to contribute to engineering education, it would be beneficial to transfer such studies
