Foraminiferler ile fosilleşme analizine bir örnek: Isparta dolayları Kretase-Tersiyer istifleri

Isparta ve çevresinde Kretase-Tersiyer yaşlı çökeller geniş alanlarda yüzeylemektedir. Yöredeki Kretase-Tersiyer istiflerinin yaş, dokanak ve ortamsal yorumları tartışmalıdır. Bu çalışma belirtilen çökeller içerisindeki sığ ve açık deniz ortamlarına ait foraminiferlerin fosilleşmelerini araştırır. Foraminiferlerde yerinde gömülme, aynı ve farklı zaman aralıklarında taşınma verileri görülür. Elde edilen saha ve fosilleşme verilerine göre Davras kireçtaşı-Söbüdağ kireçtaşı üyesi ile Çiğdemtepe kireçtaşı arasındaki ilişki uyumlu ve geçişlidir. Ayrıca, Geç Kretase'de egemen olan derin deniz koşulları Eosen sonlarına kadar devam etmiştir.

An example of fossilization analysis with foraminifera: Cretaceous-Tertiary sequences around Isparta (SW Turkey)

Cretaceous-Tertiary sediments outcrop widespreadly around Isparta (SW Turkey). The age, contact relations and paleoenvironmental interpretations of these sediments are contravertial This study investigates foraminifera fossilization related to deep and shallow water environments in the Cretaceous-Tertiary sediments. They include in-situ and reworked fossils transported in the same and different time. According to the obtained field and fossillization data, the relationship between the Söbüdağ limestone member of the Davras limestone and the Çiğdemtepe limestone is conformable and transitional. The deep sea conditions that started at the Late Cretaceous Period continued to the end of Eocene.
