İç Anadolu Bölgesi iklimi hakkında yazılmış genel mahiyette bazı eserler mevcuttur (Çölaşan: 1960, Erinç: 1957, Erol: 1956, Sür: 1977, Tümertekin: 1956, Yücel: 1962). Ancak bu çalışmalar İç Anadolunun bölgesel coğrafyası içinde veya Türkiye'nin bütününü ilgilendiren çalışmalardır. Yozgat'ın iklim özellikleriyle ilgili bugüne kadar detaylı bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Bu makale kısmen de olsa bu eksikliği kapatmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Yozgat'ın iklim özelliklerinin bilinmesi, İç Anadolu'nun bu kesiminde iklim-bitki, iklimtoprak, iklim-relief arasındaki ilişkilerin daha iyi bir şekilde anlaşılmasına imkân vermiş olacaktır. There are some studies about the climate of the Central Anatolia Region in general (Çölaşan:1960; Erinç: 1957; Erol: 1956; Sür: 1977; Tümertekin: 1956; Yücel: 1962). However these studies are found within the regional geography of the region, or of Turkey. It seams that a detailet study concerning the climatic conditions of Yozgat which is the subject of this study has not been carried out by now. A study of the climatical properties of Yozgat will allow us to understand the relations between climate-vegetation, climate-land, and climate-relief in this part of the central Anatolian Region. The climatical properties of Yozgat which effects all sorts of activities from agriculture to settlemet in the area is studies in general by the data provided by the Yozgat Meteorology station.
