Araştırmanın amacı Türkiye\'de spor yapan ve yapmayan bayanların sosyo-ekonomik durumlarının spora katılıma etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmaya Konya İlinden, 1999-2000 sezonu lisans vizesini yaptırmış 200 sporcu bayan ile, yine aynı Konya ilinden 200 spor yapmayan bayanlar katıldılar. Araştırmaya katılan deneklere 23 sorudan oluşan bir anket uygulandı. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirmesinde frekans ve yüzde dağılımları hesaplanarak farklılıkları Ki-Kare tekniği ile test edildi. Sonuç olarak spor yapan ve yapmayan bayanların sosyo-ekonomik yönden farklılık gösterdiği, bu yapının kişilerin yaşam şekillerini ve spora katılım düzeyini de etkilediği görülmüştür.

The aim of the study is to determine the effects of socio-economic situation of the women who go in for sports on their participation in sports. 200 sports women who countersigned their visas in 1999-2000 and women who do not go in far sports from the provincial capital of Konya were taken as the subjects of the study. The subjects filled in a questionaire of 23 questions. In order to evaluate the data, the frequencies and the percentages were determined, and the difference was tesdet via chi-square scale. As a result, it was found that the women who go in far sports and who do not differ socio-economically. İt was also determined that the socio-economic structure affects the life style of people and their participation in sports.
