Pythagoras ses sistemi doğal tam beşliler yoluyla elde edilmektedir. Tam beşli zincirleri, tekrarlamadan ve kapanmadan, içerisinde herbir sesin yalnızca bir kere yer aldığı sonsuz bir nota serisi sağlamaktadır. Eskiden beri müzikte ses sistemi oluşturmada tam beşlilerden faydalanılmış ve değişik tam beşli zincirleriyle farklı Pythagoras dizileri elde edilmiştir. Bu makalede kuruluş ve yapısal özellikleri bakımından beşli zincirlerine dayalı çeşitli Pythagoras skalaları ele alınmaktadır.

The Pythagorean tone system is generated by acoustically perfect fifths. The chain of fifths provides an endless series of notes, neither closing nor repeating, so that each note in the chain is musically unique. There are many Pythagorean scales based upon the chain of fifths in music history. In this article different Pythagorean scales are investigated in point of fundemental and structural properties.
