Bir söylence, iki yapıt Uzaktaki Prenses ve Uzaktan Aşk
Bu çalışmada, önce ozan Jaufré Rudel\'in söylenceye dönüşen yaşam öyküsünden söz ediliyor. XII. yüzyıl saray edebiyatına egemen olan aşk (amour courtois) anlayışı ve kadının edebiyattaki yeri, Güney Fransa\'daki soylu kadınların toplumsal konumlarındaki değişimle birlikte ele alınıyor. Son olarak, uzaktan aşk izleğini işleyen ve yüz yıl arayla yazılan, Rostand\'ın La Princesse Lointaine adlı oyunuyla, Maalouf\'un Uzaktan Aşk adlı librettosu inceleniyor. Her iki yapıtta da aşkın yüceltildiği, ancak Rostand\'ın aşkı dinsel ülkülerle bağdaştırdığı, Maalouf\'un bu yola başvurmadığı gözlemleniyor. Bu iki yapıtın aynı izleği işlediği ancak iki ayrı dünya görüşünü ve estetik anlayışını yansıttığı sonucuna varılıyor.

A myth, two works The Faraway Princess and Love from Afar
This study first expands on the biography of Jaufré Rudel that has become a legend. The concept of love that was prevalent in the literature of the courts of the 12th Century (courtly love) and the status of women in the literature are delineated along with the change in the social condition of the noble women in South France. Finally, Rostand\'s play The Faraway Princess and Maalouf\'s libretto Love from Afar that were written a century apart to treat the theme of distant love are reviewed. It is noted that while both works glorify love, Rostand compromises it with religious ideals, and Maalouf doesn\'t. It is concluded that the same theme is the subject of these two works, nevertheless, they reflect two distinct concepts of world vision and aesthetic approaches.
