Panel veri analizi ile döngüsel ekonominin kaynak verimliliğine etkisinin analizi

Avrupa ülkelerinin sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedeflerine ulaşmasında temel uygulama alanlarının başında döngüsel ekonomi kavramı gelmektedir. Geri dönüşüm, tamir edilerek veya yeniden üretim olarak ifade edebileceğimiz döngüsel ekonomi süreci, işletmeler açısından gelecek nesillerin kaynaklarına dokunmadan günümüzün ihtiyaçlarına cevap verebilmek amacıyla temel anahtar olarak görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla, kaynak verimliliğinin artırılması da ülke ekonomilerinin en temel görevi haline gelmiştir. Çalışmada, döngüsel ekonominin kaynak verimliliği üzerindeki etkisi panel veri analizi ile ölçülmüştür. Seçilmiş Avrupa ülkelerinin 2010 ile 2021 yılları arasındaki verileri kullanılarak atık üretimi, katı atık üretimi, biyoyakıt atıklarının geri dönüşümü ve belediye atıklarının geri dönüşüm faaliyetlerinin kaynak verimliliğinin artırılmasında etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarından, katı atık üretimi, biyoyakıt atıklarının geri dönüşümü ve belediye atıklarının geri dönüşüm faaliyetlerinin kaynak verimliliği üzerinde etkili olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Analysis of the effect of circular economy on resource efficiency with panel data analysis

The concept of circular economy is at the forefront of the main implementation areas for European countries to achieve their sustainable development goals. The circular economy process (recycling, repairing or remanufacturing) is the basic key for firms to respond to today's needs without using the resources of future generations. Therefore, increasing resource efficiency has become the most fundamental task of national economies. In the study, the effect of the circular economy on resource efficiency was measured by panel data analysis. Using the data of selected European countries between 2010 and 2021, the effect of waste generation, solid waste generation, recycling of biofuel waste and recycling of municipal waste on increasing resource efficiency was examined. From the results of the research, it was concluded that the production of solid waste, recycling of biofuel waste and recycling of municipal waste have an impact on resource efficiency.
