Yakup Kadri 1889 da Kahire'de doğdu. İyi bilinen meşhur Türk yazarlarından biridir. Türk dünyasında her kitabı çok yayılmıştır. Modem kurmaca nesrimizde ona eşdeğer bir başka meşhur yazarımız yoktur. Altmışa yakın kısa ve uzun hikaye yazdı. O hikayelerini yaşadığı yer olan İstanbul'da yazar. Hikayelerinin çoğu milli savaş hikayeleridir, diğer kısmı ise sıradan ve psikopatolojik hikayelerden oluşur. Onun, kavradığı kişileri objektif yollarla oluşturulmuştur, kimseyle karıştırılmaz.

Yakup Kadri was born in Cairo 1889. Was one of Türkish 'best knovn most famous writer. İn the Türkish world ever book are widely read. it may be that no other novelists was had an equivalent influence on the prose of modern fıcition. Him short story brought him fame,won him a place in the front rank of Turkish writers. He wrote long and short stories in near of sixty. He writes him story in İstanbul, where he is lived. Most of stories, is national war stories, others extraordinay event stories and psychopathological stories. He has an objective way of presenting chracters as insight he himself were not involved with them.
