Kalsine edilmiş kireçtaşı pelletlerinde etkin difüzyon katsayısının ve bükümlülük faktörünün bulunması
Bu çalışmada, baca gazlarındaki asidik gazları tutmada etkin olan kalsine kireçtaşı gözeneklerindeki etkin difüzyon katsayısı ve bükümlülük faktörü tek pellet pulse-tepki dinamik metodu kullanılarak belirlendi. Deneysel çalışmada kullanılan kireçtaşı örnekleri N2 atmosferinde bir yüksek sıcaklık fırınında yaklaşık 800 °C sıcaklıkta kalsine edildikten sonra pellet halinde difüzyon hücresine yerleştirildi. Pelletin her iki yüzeyinden azot gazı geçirilmek suretiyle difüzyon hücresi deneyleri gerçekleştirildi.
Determination of effective diffusivity and tortousity factor in calcined limestone pellets
In this study, the effective diffusivity and tortousity factor in the pores of calcined limestone, which is used for the removal of acidic gases from flue gases, have been determined by using pulse-reaction dynamic method. Prior to a run limestone powders used in the experiments were calcined in an atmosphere of N2 at 800 °C. The experiments have been conducted in a diffusion cell by using nitrogen gas (carrier) flowing through both faces of the pellet. Effective diffusivity of helium has been determined by giving a pulse of helium to upper face of the calcined limestone pellet and comparing the response peak on the lower face of the pellet with theoretical expressions. The values of effective diffusivities were found to be between 0.028 cm2/s and 0.045 cm2/s for calcined limestone pellets in the total porosity range of 0.57 to 0.75. Tortousity factors for the same pellets have been determined to change between 7.1 and 9.8 at temperatures studied.
