Comparison of Clinical and Histopathological Prognostic Parameters in Breast Carcinomas With Estrogen and Progesterone Reseptor Staining Features
Aim: The correlation between estrogen and progesterone reseptor status and conventional clinic and histopatological parameters in breast tumors was investigated. Material and Methods: Fourty cases of which mastectomies had been performed for breast cancer were analyzed. These cases were evaluated for major histopathological parameters and immunohistochemical staining for estrogen and progesterone receptors. Results: The positivity for estrogen and progesterone receptor was 32.5 %. Although, progesterone receptor positivity was associated better with tumor characteristics, any significant correlation was not present with histopathological parameters. Correlations between estrogen receptor positivity and 5 cm tumor diameter (p
