ÖZETBir mikrosefali vak'asında kafa-yüz ilişkileri incelendi. Hastanın kafa kaidesi derinliği kısadır. Total efektif orta yüz derinliği kendi kafa kaidesine göre artmıştır. Bu durum orta yüz prognatizmini gösterir. Mandibula hacim olarak artış göstermekle birlikte konum olarak normaldir ve diş sistemi de normal kapanış ilişkisi göstermektedir. Yüz ve dikey boyutları ortalamaya göre normal sınırlar içinde olmasına karşın hastanın kendi kafa kaidesi derinliğine oranlandığında çok önemli derecede uyumsuzluk göstermektedir. SUMMARYCraniofacial relationships have been investigated in a case of microcephaly.Microcephaly is primarily a congenital anomaly. The brain development is retarded. The cranial dimensions are affected as well as the volume. The skull is small. In a number of chromosomal anomalies and syndroms, microcephaly is present.We have measured and evaluated various craniofacial dimensions according to The Cohen Coordinate Craniofacial Analysis. Depth of the cranial base is short. The effective depth of the middle face is greater proportionally according to the individual cranial base depth. Anteroposterior position of the mandible is normal but the size of the mandible is larger than normal. The total face height is normal linearly but it is extremely unproportional according to the individual depth of the cranial base.
