Bu çalışmanın amacı akademisyenlerin bilimsel araştırma tutumlarının akademik etik değerler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırma karma yönteme uygun bir şekilde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın nicel boyutunda tarama modeli, nitel boyutunda ise temel nitel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin toplanmasında Sevim (2014) tarafından geliştirilen Akademik Etik Değerler Ölçeği’nden, nitel verilerin elde edilmesinde ise öğretim üyeleriyle gerçekleştirilecek olan görüşme tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini farklı üniversitelerden değişik unvanlara sahip 149 öğretim üyesi oluşturmuştur. Nicel verilerin analizinde basit istatistiki yöntemler, nitel verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan bu araştırmayla akademisyenlerin bilimsel araştırma sürecinde karşılaştıkları etik dışı davranışlar hakkında derinlemesine bilgiye ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to investigate the academicians’ scientific research attitudes from the point of academic ethical values. The study was conducted according to the mixed method research. Survey design in the quantitative phase and basic qualitative research design in the qualitative phase were used in the study. Quantitative data were gathered with “The Scale of Academic Ethical Values” developed by Sevim (2014) and qualitative data were gathered with the interviews conducted with the academicians. The sapling group of the study was composed of 149 university instructors from different universities. Basic statistical methods in the quantitative phase and content analysis technique in the qualitative phase were used. The study presented detailed knowledge about the unethical behaviours faced by the academicians in the scientific research process.
