2008 KÜRESEL FİNANS KRİZİ SONRASI YÜKSELEN TİCARİ KORUMACILIK VE G-20 ÜLKELERİ

2008 küresel finans krizinden hemen sonra toplanan G-20 zirvesinde küresel ekonominin daralma tehlikesine karşı ülkelerin bireysel ticari korumacılıktan kaçınmaları yönünde karar alınmıştır; fakat bu karar uygulamada çok fazla karşılık bulmamış özellikle dünya ekonomisinin en büyük ülkeleri korumacı ticaret politikalarını çok sık biçimde kullanmaya başlamıştır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada 2009-2017 dönemi verileriyle G-20 ülkeleri için sabit etkiler panel data tahmincisi kullanılarak zarar verici ticari müdahalelerinin Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla (GSYİH) üzerindeki etkisi test edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre ülkelerin zarar verici müdahaleleri GSYİH üzerinde anlamlı ve negatif etkiye sahipken serbestleştirici müdahalelerin GSYİH üzerindeki etkisi ise anlamsız çıkmıştır.
