Sezon İçi ve Sezon Dışında Koç Spermasının Dondurulmasında Antioksidanların Etkisi

Merinos koçlardan suni vajen yardımıyla alınan ejakülatlar birleştirilerek 10 eşit hacme bölündü ve curcumin (C), ellagik asit (E) ve metiyoninin (M) 1, 2 ve 4 mM dozlarını içeren ve içermeyen (kontrol) Tris temelli sulandırıcısıyla 32ºC’ta sulandırılarak 5ºC’ta 3 saat ekilibrasyona bırakıldı. Ekilibrasyon sonrası sıvı azot buharında dondurulan sperma numuneleri sıvı azotta (-196ºC) saklandı. Effect of Antioxidants on Cryopreservation of Ram Semen in and out of Breeding Season

Ejaculates collected using an artificial vagina from Merino rams were pooled, then splitting into 10 equal aliquots. The aliquots were diluted in a Tris-based extender containing curcumin (C), ellagic acid (E) and methionine (M) at doses of 1, 2 and 4 mM, and no additive (control) at 32ºC. Diluted samples were equilibrated at 5ºC for 3h. After equilibration, the samples frozen in liquid nitrogen vapour were plunged into liquid nitrogen (-196ºC) for storage.
