29 Ekim 1923 tarihinde Cumhuriyetin ilan edilmesi ile birlikte her yılın 29 Ekim tarihinde Cumhuriyet Bayramı kutlamaları ülkemizin her kesiminde coşkun törenlerle kutlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Atatürk döneminde Kayseri’de (1926, 1931, 1932, 1935, 1936,1937,1938 yıllarında Cumhuriyet Bayramı törenlerinin nasıl yapıldığı ve bu törenlerde hangi programın uygulandığı konusunda bilgi verilmeye çalışılmış, bu amaçla belirtilen tarihler arasında çıkan yerel gazetelere yansıyan bilgilerden birincil kaynak olarak istifade edilmiştir

29 October 1929 is the day on which our republican administration was declared. This day is a national holiday. Every year on 28th and 29th of October we celebrate Republic Festival holding merry ceremonies. A great many people, students, and officials attend the ceremonies and the ceremonies have been conducted via demonstrations and amusement with same excitement of 29 October 1929. In this study we have tried to analyze Republic Festivals, which were held when Atatürk was alive (1926, 1931, 1932, 1935, 1936, 1937, and 1938) and tried to demonstrate how the ceremonies were held and who attended those ceremonies in Kayseri. With this aim in mind, we have made use of the issues (which were published in the years we mentioned above) of one of the local newspapers “Kayseri Gazetesi-Kayseri Newspaper”
