Production includes any process that transforms one or more inputs into an output. Inputs are com-bined to produce output using the best available tech-nology or known methods of production. The rela-tionship betueen various combinations of inputs and the resulting maximum rates of output is called the production function. A production function may be expressed in three forms; Type A, Type B and Type C.
