INSPECTION OF CRACKS ON MAGNETIC MATERIALS

A magnetic non-destructive testing system was constructed for the inspection of cracks on magnetic materials for industrial applications. Investigated samples were magnetized by an ac current of f=1000Hz and I=0.8A. The surface of the samples were scanned for three dimensions. During the scanning process, the signal of surface magnetic leakege flux was collected by using a Hall effect sensor. The collected data was analized to obtain feature of the cracks on the sample. In this paper, findings about feature of the cracks will be presented.
