METAVERSE VE ÜRETİM: METAVERSE’ÜN ÜRETİME ETKİLERİ

Dünya kaynaklarının tükeniyor olması, üretim maliyetlerinin yükselmesi, pandemi ve pandeminin çalışma koşullarında meydana getirdiği değişiklikler, üretimde verimliliği yükseltmeye yönelik çabaları arttırmıştır. Endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin üretimde kullanımı yaygınlaşmış, dijitalleşme hızlanmıştır. Günümüzde üretimde dijitalleşme sürecinin Metaverse ile daha da hızlanacağı düşünülmektedir. Son yıllarda büyük ilgi gören ancak tarihçesi eskiye dayanan Metaverse kavramı, gelecekte hayatın büyük bir bölümünü belki de tamamının sürdürüleceği alan olarak görülmektedir. Kavramla ilgili gelişmeler ve tartışmalar devam ederken Boeing, Hyundai Motor, BMW gibi dünya çapında ünlü birçok işletme Metaverse’te yer almak için çalışmalarını başlatmış, Metaverse’te de varlığını sürdürmeye yönelik girişimlerde bulunmuştur. Şimdilik eğitim, pazarlama, oyun, turizm, sağlık, emlak gibi sektörlerde varlığını gösteren kavramın gelecekte tüm sektörlerde yer alması ve tüm sektörleri etkilemesi beklenmektedir. Metaverse’ün etkili olacağı sektörlerden birinin de üretim sektörü olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu sebeple çalışmada Metaverse’ün üretimde nasıl yer alacağı konusu ele alınmış, Metaverse’ün üretim sektörüne ve üretim sürecine olan etkilerinin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Tanımlayıcı makale türünde olan bu çalışmada, kullanılan bilgilere literatür taraması ile ulaşılmış ve elde edilen bilgiler derlenerek sunulmuştur. Çalışmada öncelikle Metaverse kavramı açıklanmış, dünyada üretimde Metaverse’e yönelik girişim örneklerinden bahsedilmiş devamında Metaverse’ün üretimde sağlayacağı avantajlara ve dezavantajlara değinilmiş, elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda çıkarımlar yapılmıştır.

METAVERSE AND MANUFACTURING: THE IMPACT OF METAVERSE ON THE MANUFACTURE

The depletion of world resources, increase in production costs, the pandemic and alterations in working conditions due to the pandemic itself have appreciated the efforts of raising productivity. The use of Industry 4.0 technologies in the production has become prevalent whereas digitalization has gained speed. Today, the process of digitalization in production will accelerate more and more thanks to Metaverse. Having drawn a great deal of interest in recent years; and dates back to old times historically, though, the concept of Metaverse is regarded as up-and-coming field that will sustain a great part or even the whole life in the future. Whilst the advancements and discussions linked with the concept are under way, several globally prominent businesses such as Boeing, Hyundai Motor and BMW have started their work so as to appear in Metaverse and also embarked on some viable enterprises. The concept subsisting in such sectors as tourism, health and real estate currently is supposed to take part in and influence all other sectors down the line. One of the sectors where Metaverse also will come into play is thought to be the production sector. Therefore, the way how Metaverse will take place in the study has been handled and the impacts of Metaverse on the manufacturing sector and the manufacturing process have been aimed to elicit. The information utilized in this descriptive research has been gathered through the literature review and the information eventually obtained has been presented by being compiled. In this study, firstly the concept of Metaverse has been clarified, initiative samples of Metaverse in the global manufacturing have been mentioned; secondly the pros and cons of Metaverse for manufacturing have been touched upon and consequently the inferences in line with the information acquired have been made.
