Motivasyonu etkileyen içsel ve dışsal etkenler vardır. Dışsal etkenler olanaklar, sağlanan ortam ve çevre koşulları ile ilgilidir. Bu çalışmada,İstanbul`daki üniversitelerin İnşaat Mühendisliği bölümü öğrencilerinin motivasyonlarını etkileyen (dışsal) faktörlerin tespiti için bir anket uygulanmıştır.Öğrencilere yöneltilen anketin içeriğinde iki grup soru yer almaktadır. Birinci grup sorular; öğrencinin başarısını,motivasyonunu doğrudan etkileyenders içerikleri,laboratuar, öğretim elemanları, ayrıca sosyal aktiviteler,yemek gibi olanaklarla ilgili sorulardır.İkinci grup sorular ise, üniversite seçimleri ile mezun olduklarında iş bulma düşüncelerine, geleceğe ait sorulardır. Birinci grup sorularına verilecek yanıtlarla öğrencilerin motivasyonlarının, mevcut koşullarda hangi faktörlerden olumlu ya da olumsuz etkilendiği araştırılmıştır. İkinci grup soruların yanıtları da öğrencilerin geleceğe ait beklentilerinin motivasyonlarını nasıl etkilediği konusundaki araştırmaya ışık tutmuştur.

There are interior and exterior factors affecting on motivation. Exterior effects depens on environment conditions and possibilties. In this study, universitys civil engineering students in İstanbul were administered a questionnaire to determine the (exterior) factor affecting their motivation.Prepared questionnaire for civil engineers students are asked to two groups questions.The first group of questions are consist of questions that directly affected the student`s achievement and motivation whichcourse content,laboratories, teaching staff, as well as social activities, housing, such as the relevant questions. The second group of questions are consist of university choices, thoughts about finding job when they graduate from university and ideas for the future.Answers given the first group questions were investigated that affected which factors civil engineer student`s motivations as positively or negatively by current conditions.The second group questions were sheded light on that how affected on civil engineer student`s motivations their future expectation.
